This section of the website covers two distinct systems: the BSME Accreditation System – which is a compulsory aspect of membership of BSME and the British Schools Overseas System – a voluntary UK government process that some BSME schools have / will undergo.
The BSO system is controlled entirely by the UK government, but is described here because BSME has set up the accreditation system in such a way that the BSME and BSO systems can, if a school so chooses, interlink almost seamlessly.
