When the BSME CPD Programme began in earnest, in 2011, we had only half a dozen schools officially listed as ‘host schools’. To date, thirty-five schools have already hosted for us and we now have forty-seven schools (approximately 65% of the total membership!) registered as willing hosts. That is a fantastic statistic and a real testament to the credibility of the the rapidly growing CPD Programme.
Such keen support is not only much appreciated, it is also essential to the success of the programme. Without it, the BSME CPD Programme simply could not run in the manner in which it does currently. Our sincere thanks go to all our host schools across the region.
To claim host school free places, you will need to fill in the Host School Free Place form. Please click on the link below to download the form.
Booking Form - Host School Free Place
Please email this form to Sam via cpdassistant@bsme.org.uk before the course booking deadline. Please DO NOT register your free places online - all delegates registered online will be charged. Should host schools wish to book any additional (chargeable) places, they should do so on-line, in the ‘Programmes and Courses’ Section of the CPD area.
Kind Regards,
BSME CPD Coordinator

El Alsson British International School is the British section of El Alsson School, Cairo. Situated on a green-field site near the Giza pyramids, EABIS offers a high-quality British education to Egyptian and ex-patriate students from Early Years to A-Levels, in preparation for entry into universities in Egypt and around the world. Taught by well-qualified and experienced teachers, mostly from the UK, the curriculum follows the National Curriculum for England, with the addition of Arabic, Religion and Social Studies to meet the local requirements for our Egyptian students and a Foreign Language Arabic programme for our non-Arabic speakers. Academic programmes are supported by PLTS/SEAL activities, which have a Leadership focus in the Senior School. EABIS is one of the only Teaching and Examinations Centres in Egypt for Edexcel GCSE, AS and A-Levels, and students have consistently achieved very impressive levels of academic success. All Yr.11 students pass at least 6 GCSE subjects. Most pass 9 subjects, and half of all GCSEs awarded are at A/A* grade. After AS and A-Levels, all students go on to top universities in the UK, USA, and Canada, as well as in Egypt. EABIS has purpose-built Primary and Secondary facilities on opposite sides of the campus, and a Sixth Form Centre was opened in summer 2007. There are specialist teaching areas for the Sciences, Art and Design, and Drama, and well-resourced Libraries and ICT labs in both Primary and Secondary buildings. Further facilities include sports fields and a medical centre. A wide range of extra-curricular activities is offered throughout the year. These include sports, expressive arts and charity work, alongside clubs for a wide range of interests. Sixth Form students are encouraged to participate in our highly successful Leadership Award programme. El Alsson also offers an American education in its NCA/CASI-accredited American section. |
