When the BSME CPD Programme began in earnest, in 2011, we had only half a dozen schools officially listed as ‘host schools’. To date, thirty-five schools have already hosted for us and we now have forty-seven schools (approximately 65% of the total membership!) registered as willing hosts. That is a fantastic statistic and a real testament to the credibility of the the rapidly growing CPD Programme.

Such keen support is not only much appreciated, it is also essential to the success of the programme. Without it, the BSME CPD Programme simply could not run in the manner in which it does currently. Our sincere thanks go to all our host schools across the region.

How should host schools book their free places?

To claim host school free places, you will need to fill in the Host School Free Place form. Please click on the link below to download the form.

Booking Form - Host School Free Place

Please email this form to Sam via cpdassistant@bsme.org.uk before the course booking deadline. Please DO NOT register your free places online - all delegates registered online will be charged. Should host schools wish to book any additional (chargeable) places, they should do so on-line, in the ‘Programmes and Courses’ Section of the CPD area.

Kind Regards,

BSME CPD Coordinator

Comments/Description

The English Academy [TEA] provides a British learning experience that encourages pupils to be successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens with a global perspective. TEA offers a friendly and family orientated teaching environment. Established in 1993, it is a private co-educational international school, teaching pupils from the age of 3.5 to 18. The English National Curriculum is followed and Public examinations are taken at IGCSE, GCSE, Advanced Subsidiary [AS] and Advanced [A] level through the examination boards of the Edexcel and Cambridge in the UK. British qualified staff are recruited on overseas contracts and are supported by locally appointed colleagues who teach Arabic and Islamic Studies according to the Government syllabus. Particular emphasis is placed on the teaching of Arabic in the first three years, thus allowing pupils to develop totally bilingually. TEA is a well equipped school with an English and Arabic library, computer rooms, science laboratories, AV rooms, a multi-purpose hall and separate specialist music, art and nutrition departments and a separate 6th Form area. A wide range of Extra-curricular activities include the school band, school choir, drama club, the International Award, the International Global Citizens award, and a variety of sports. Applicants for Kindergarten are interviewed and all other children submit previous school records and are tested in English and Mathematics.
