The English College, Dubai is an independent, coeducational British curriculum school which opened in September 1992. The College is staffed by well qualified British teachers with UK experience. Great emphasis is placed upon offering an holistic education, and extra-curricular activities play an important part in the College’s programme. A wide range of sport, music, drama, and other activities are offered after normal school hours. The College enjoys easy access from the Dubai/Abu Dhabi highway and is situated between interchanges 2 and 3 on the Sheikh Zayed Road. The buildings are purpose built, fully air- conditioned and include specialist areas for ICT, Science, Art & Design, Drama and Music. The College also has an all-weather multi-purpose playing court, squash court, full size swimming pool, grass sports field and a multipurpose hall. The school week begins on Sunday and ends on Thursday. The day starts at 7:45 am and finishes at 3:00 pm.  The main holidays are similar to those in the UK, except the spring holiday which tends to be shorter and the summer holiday longer. |
