Cambridge English School, Mangaf, is a privately owned, independent, non-selective school delivering the National Curriculum of England to approximately 1500 pupils aged 4-16.ÂÂ From the Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 4, the school seeks to provide a dynamic, interactive and experiential educational environment in which pupils are prepared for the future and equipped to contribute positively to their families and communities. CES is an Attached Centre for Cambridge International Examinations which are currently administered through the British Council, Kuwait. Â Pupils in Years 10-11 study a minimum of 6 IGCSE subjects alongside Arabic and Islamic, which are required for all local students. Teachers at CES come from the UK and a number of other English speaking countries including Canada, USA, New Zealand and South Africa. In the Early Years Foundation Stage, full-time local assistants support the work of the Class Teachers. Â The school provides ESL support and Learning Intervention as necessary. Located in Mangaf, with easy access to major highways, the school is equipped with a large Quad, a 30 metre swimming pool and a theatre/auditorium which seats 400. Â Its sister school, CES Hawally, is situated 25km north. Â While each campus is largely autonomous and has its own Principal, the two schools work in close cooperation under one Director who is accountable to the Board. |
